While I write a great deal about how to set up and manage social media networks, I find many times it’s best to go to the source to get instructions and tips on how to set up and start using a network. Some social media platforms have extensive libraries of tutorials including video training, such as the one below from LinkedIn, best practice guides, and tips on how to use their sites, usually in an easy to understand format.
However, many of us who have utilized social media for a while, have developed further ways to maximize social media applications and platforms, in addition to finding the faults and flaws (no entity is perfect). I personally find using my personal LinkedIn profile to make connections with potential clients worth my while more than trying to drive people to follow my company page.
That being said, every business should have a LinkedIn company page, optimize it, and start posting to it. The main reasons why are:
- It’s a place where potential clients and employees can find out more about your business, without having to leave the platform.
- You can showcase your business’ products and services.
- It helps boost your company’s SEO, and offers another way for people to follow and share your business updates.
- It allows connections to easily recommend your company to others.
Make sure you follow these tips in setting up and optimizing an online network when setting up your LinkedIn page.
