Facebook will remain king. That’s according to marketer and social media consultant Heidi Cohen. And, she writes, Facebook will gain even more dominance in video viewership. Unsurprisingly, LinkedIn will gain even more traction amongst businesses and professionals. Other insights: While Cohen maintains Amazon can be considered a social media channel, it is not. People don’t socialize on the Website. But they do shop, from their PCs, laptops, mobile devices and lap pads. So she’s smart to recommend creating a presence on the e-commerce site by listing your eBooks, whether free or not, on Amazon, and advertise if you can.

This infographic from marketing company JHS&A shows that “real-time” marketing will give way to brands finding the right content to fit the right audience at the right time. Like the other predictors, social media ad spending will increase as more social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest get into the advertising game.
And here’s a video from Infographic Design Team that again highlights that growing mobile use will force businesses to adapt their content, from Web sites to individual social media campaigns, to fit the medium. Others social media mantras: Internet advertising will rise, social media marketing budgets will double in the next 5 years, and video will continue to take center stage in online marketing efforts.
In Summary:
The key takeaways for the upcoming year is to prepare for mobile campaigns, up your social media marketing budget, start filming, and continue to create great content for your target audience.
