Note: This post has been updated since Google implemented the new design for Google Plus, and adding Google Plus Collections
Google redesigned its social media platform Google Plus (Google+) more than a year ago, making personal and brand pages more visually appealing. It also added new features such as Google Plus Collections. In previous changes, it separated the Photo application from Google Plus and sliced away Google My Business, which must now be accessed with its own app.
With the changes, Google Plus Collections has now become an important part of using the social media platform. In this post, I will show you how to use Google Plus, and how to create and post to Google Plus Collections using the iOS app. It is very similar to the desktop setup, so you’ll be able to use this information if you don’t use iOS.
How to Access Your Google Plus Page
Whether you’re in Gmail, YouTube or another Google app, you can access your Google Plus page on your desktop by clicking on the Grid top right, next to your profile icon.
Once you are on your Google Plus personal page, you can access your Google Plus Business Pages, or Brand Accounts, by clicking on your profile icon, top right. Click on the name of Google Plus brand page to access it. If you have more than one, a drop-down list will appear, or you can click on “All Your Brand Accounts.”
On the Google Plus app, all you do is open the app, and the new look is there, providing you’ve updated your apps. To access your Google My Business page from your device, you must now install a separate app of the same name.

How to Create and Post to Google Plus Collections
The accompanying video to this post shows you how to manage a personal Google Plus page on an iOS device. I also show you how to create and post to Google Plus Collections. However, the desktop app looks and operates almost exactly like the iOS app. The grid drop-down menu is the only thing missing from the iOS app.
This tutorial applies to personal Google Plus pages, not brand pages. However, Google Plus Brand Pages work much like a personal page.
While the video is for beginners, those already familiar with Google Plus will still benefit from the information. The instructions can apply to the desktop app as well, with slight differences.
