Pinterest is getting closer to launching Buyable Pins, which will be available later this summer in the U.S., on iPhones and iPads.
Later web and Android users will have access to the buyable pins, which will enable Pinterest users to shop for products straight from the social media application.
Soon you’ll be able to browse through and buy products from your favorite stores and brands without ever leaving the Pinterest app.
Pinterest sent an email to users early Monday morning announcing changes to its privacy policy regarding shopping via buyable pins.
When a user buys a product by clicking a buyable pin, their payment information will be saved within the app. This information is shared with the merchant.
Suggestions on similar products via Promoted Pins will appear as users browse Pinterest. Users can choose to not have their shopping activity tracked by adjusting settings under Order History.
